KPIs

A project can have multiple KPI's assigned, regard these KPI as 'boxes' of rules that belong together. These 'boxes' of rules are called 'Analysis types'. Users of the free service will see two KPI's:

  1. GENERAL KPI'S
  2. DAQS KPI'S

GENERAL KPI'S

This is a summation of all the KPI scores on the dashboard. If there is only one other KPI then these will look the same.

DAQS KPI'S

Validation Summary

This show the results of all the rules that are part of the DAQS analysis type. The colours are intended to draw your attention to areas where the rules have flagged issues that need attention.

Tip

Subscribers to the premium service can have more KPI's dedicated to specific requirements and their own rules, allowing you to tailor to the project needs.

Colours

KPI colours

  • Purple = More than 66.6% of the found elements have an issue.
  • Red = More than 33.3% and less than 66.6% of the found elements have an issue.
  • Yellow = More than 0% and less than 33.3% of the found elements have an issue.
  • Green = No issues found.

Model KPI's

Shows the results of one analysed model. For example:

  • Model A.rvt

Model A.rvt has 10 elements that have been analysed for 'rule 01' and 4 elements have issues. If this is the only rule, with this impact and priority setting, then the KPI's colour will be red as 40% of the elements have issues.

Tip

On the model dashboard you can drill down to more information by clicking on a colour swatch.

Project KPI's

Shows the results of all the analysed models in the project. For example a project with two models:

  • Model A.rvt
  • Model B.rvt

Model A.rvt has 10 elements that have been analysed for 'rule 01' and 4 elements have issues.
Model B.rvt has 20 elements that have been analysed for 'rule 01' and 2 elements have issues.

Rule 01 impact has been set to: 'Performance' and the Priority has been set to 'Critical'.

Rule 01 on the Project dashboard will result in 30 elements and 6 issues.

If this is the only rule, with this impact and priority setting, then the KPI's colour will be yellow as 20% of the elements have issues.

Tip

On the project dashboard you can drill down (in the future) to more information by clicking on a colour swatch.

Rules

One of the characteristics of a rule is that they have a Impact and a Priority. You will see this in the DAQS Assist and on the Project and Model Dashboards.
