Viewfilter
Filter Issues in view
In DAQS Assist, you can filter issues based on the active view in Revit. This allows you to focus only on issues that are relevant to what you are currently looking at in the model. This is especially useful for large models or when preparing a targeted export. Below you can see how different filter settings affect the number of visible issues.
No filter
All issues in the model are shown, regardless of whether the related elements are visible in the active view.
Use this when you:
- want a complete overview of all issues
- are performing a global quality check
- do not want to miss anything
Filter instances
Only issues related to instances that are visible in the active view are shown.

Use this when you:
- work per floor, zone, or discipline
- want a what you see is what you fix workflow
- want to avoid noise from other parts of the model
Filter instances + types
Issues are shown when: the instance is visible, or the type of a visible instance is involved in the issue
This is useful for:
- type-based checks (for example missing type parameters)
- situations where one type affects multiple visible instances
Filter instances + types + families
The most comprehensive filter option. Issues are shown when:
- a visible instance is involved
- the type of a visible instance is involved
- or the family of a visible element is involved

Use this when you:
- want to resolve family- or type-level issues
- want to fix root causes before going into detail
- need more context to understand why issues occur
Summary
The stricter the filter, the fewer issues you see The broader the filter, the more context you keep
👉 Tip: start broad, then narrow down per view to resolve issues efficiently.
