Mirrored Elements
Some elements can cause issues in BIM workflows when mirrored. Always reconsider whether an element should be mirrored, especially when it includes connectors.
Note: This rule performs a broad check and may include elements where mirroring is not actually a problem.
Important: This rule does not detect flipped walls!
- facingFlipped = true→ Element is mirrored along its facing direction.
- handFlipped = true→ Element is mirrored by hand (along its axis of rotation).

How to Fix
If DAQS Assist reports one of the following test failures:
- handFlippedIsFalse→ Click the arrows at position 2 in the image above.
- facingFlippedIsFalse→ Click the arrows at position 1 in the image above.
What Does It Mean?
- handFlippedmeans the door remains on the same side of the wall, but the swing direction is reversed.
- facingFlippedmeans the door has been mirrored to the opposite side of the wall.
